Data Storage

- chrome.storage.sync: If you enable synchronization, your preferences are stored in Chrome’s sync storage, which allows your settings to be synchronized across all Chrome browsers where you’re signed in with the same Google account.
- chrome.storage.local: If you disable synchronization, your preferences are stored locally on your device only.
All data is stored directly by Chrome and is subject to Google’s privacy policies. We do not maintain any external databases or servers to store your information.
Data Sharing
We do not share any of your data with third parties. Your selected text is only sent to the search engines you choose to use when you explicitly perform a search action.
When you perform a search using our extension:
- Your selected text is sent directly to the search engine(s) you choose
- The search is subject to the privacy policy of the respective search engine
Your Control Over Your Data
You have full control over your data:
- You can enable or disable synchronization in the extension options
- You can export your settings to a local file and import them on another device
- You can reset all preferences to default values through the options page
- You can uninstall the extension at any time to remove all stored data
Chrome Permissions
Our extension requires the following permissions:
- contextMenus: To add search options to the right-click context menu
- storage: To save your preferences and settings
- tabs: To open search results in new tabs according to your preferences
These permissions are only used for the functionality described in this policy and the extension’s description.
